Everybody who knows me knows that my favourite saying is LESS IS MORE. With all my personal shopping clients, I always tried to teach them that if you do not really feel the look you have and if you’re having any doubts about your look, then it is better to take something off than to add more.
Regarding my style, I can be so totally different and I enjoy this so much. I completely adore lady-like elegance: this is so timeless and will never go out of fashion – and never out of my closet either. Then I love to be edgy with slightly masculine accents and all the ripped things – shirts, dresses, trousers. BUT never forgetting that I am a woman!
And then there is my playground – when I enjoy playing with fashion. As for this look, I paired way too many colours together (“by the book” there should not be more than three colours in one look). As you can, see I wore green lace dress with a a bit sporty pink sweater; the shoes are quite the statement piece, not to speak of the amazingly eye-catching colour of my bag. In fashion, when you are mixing things there is a fine line between looking stylish or looking totally stupid. What do you think – did I make this look work? 😀
One thing I know for sure: if I will look back at this post after some period of time, I am sure I will think that I must have been crazy. Fashion changes and if you’re trying to be too fashionable, then after some time you will definitely look hilarious. I am always telling my clients who are asking me to be stylish or to stick to the classics and I am explaining through the example of Princess Diana and Grace Kelly’s wedding dresses… One was totally fashionable at that time, with the big puffy shoulders, and the other had a classical gorgeous gown that even now I would be ready to wear.
It is always your our own choice, but since I am not afraid of looking stupid I am enjoying my fashion playground and mixing things.
Have fun playing but always be careful! 😉
