Indigo Pearl is all about fusion – mystical and majestic with pyramid details and liana grown walls like from Lara Croft and Indiana Jones movies. Minimalistic concrete walls are also paired with various details from the Wild Wild West movie, as it seems that Will Smith will come and join you by the pool at any time.
We discovered this hidden paradise when we visited the Black Ginger restaurant on our first evening in Phuket. And I can say that this was one of the best Thai food experiences, if not the best, we have experienced in many years of global travel.
The first time we visited Black Ginger we sat inside, and it was a very sophisticated, minimalistic feeling, with a beyond-awesome fresh lemongrass aroma. The second time we sat outside, and I was glad we did because it offered a completely different experience: you could feel nature all around, with the loud and beautiful chorus of crickets.
We liked Black Ginger so much that we decided to stay at Indigo Pearl when we returned from Koh Pha-Ngan at the end of our trip.
Indigo Pearl hotel is a true fusion of design and architecture, and it has many awesome things for different tastes.
The jewel of Indigo Pearl is the gorgeous COQOON Spa – simply unmissable in Phuket. I was also very impressed by the hotel’s art gallery – the paintings of Queen Elizabeth were awesome!
There’s also a great little boutique selling design objects so you can bring a small flavour of Lara Croft, Indiana Jones and Wild Wild West home with you!
