Last week I went to New York for the Christian Louboutin SS16 campaign event “Who killed Amazoula?”. I love the way Christian Louboutin are promoting their new red-soled beauties to die for! The new campaign was designed as gorgeous short movie.

The event was amazing and I met such awesome people. There is still a huge smile on my face while thinking of them. Alex, Tiffany, Eddie – thanks again for this superb time! No wonder I fell deeply in love with New York and the people there! I really enjoy the concrete jungle and the vibe of NYC, and I can’t wait to be there again!

Speaking of NYC – I’m ashamed to say – I have travelled all around the world and had never been to this magical city. Even when we lived in Miami we somehow did not manage to come here. But I am sure that everything has its reason for how and when it happens or should happen… Because I had to come live in NYC many years ago to study business management, but instead, the summer before moving to NYC, I met my husband Ugis… My visit to NYC was postponed till this day… And I am actually so much happier to come to NYC now, knowing what great support and love is awaiting me back at home.

Somehow I managed to get sick while I was there. It was quite chilly. By the forecast it should have been 19 C, but it was just 12 C and a bit windy. Since I hadn’t been there, I wanted to soak in the city as much as I could and it ended up with getting cold and spending two days in hotels room lying in bed. I had the greatest company though. I spent time with my Miami bestie Carol, who came to New York especially to meet me. We had big plans to shop around New York, to drink wine and have fun, but instead we spent all our time having pillow talks in this beyond beautiful and sexy blue room of Gramercy Park Hotel. But it was an amazing time spent together! It is not bad at all to get sick when your friend is by your side and you both are in such an amazing place.

When in New York it is definitely worth staying at Gramercy Park Hotel. It was my friend’s Tippy suggestion to stay there, and I could not be happier with this choice. The Hotel’s 21st century facelift from Oscar-nominated director and artist Julian Schnabel focused on a distinct Renaissance-revival concept incorporating the vivid colors of the era with bold hues on the walls, upholstery and carpets. The furniture is specially imported from markets around the world. The result is beyound-relaxed ambiance. Gramercy Park Hotel offers a rare opportunity to experience Museum-quality Art in an intimate environment. In its lobby, Guest Rooms, Event Spaces and Bars, guests will find masterpieces by artists from Warhol and Basquiat to Damien Hirst, Keith Haring and Richard Prince. The works change regularly ensuring guests never experience the same Hotel twice.
