IT’S A MAN’S WORLD

I’ve been to Miami countless times, but this was the one time that I will always remember the best. And it is not only because I celebrated my birthday over there. (How old did I turn? You don’t ask a girl about her age!).

This trip to Miami was different because we had a possibility to drive around town in a Lamborghini for a whole week.

As I’ve been interested in sports cars ever since my childhood, this was something truly special for me. Lamborghini is undoubtedly a gorgeous car, but what excites me the most about it is the sound that it makes; not the speed, but the sound ‒ and not the sound it makes when accelerating, but when braking ‒ it feels like somebody is firing a cannon from the exhaust.

A little bit of history ‒ Lamborghini began its rise to fame as a manufacturer of tractors. Not a bad modern-day tractor, right?! 🙂 I have to say that now, when I’m back to Europe, there are times when I miss this car a little (well, this is an understatement ‒ we really did not want leave the Huracan behind).

We tried out two Lamborghinis this time ‒ Gallardo, which we thought resembled a race car, as it was quite stiff and difficult to control, and Huracan, which was a completely different car with great driving comfort. Of course, I’ve got to mention that the most used button in a Lamborghini is the one that raises and lowers the car so that it would be possible to drive in somewhere, down from somewhere and over something, but this did not prevent us from enjoying this super-car in any way.

I can’t wait for the next time when we’ll be in Miami and will rent the Lamborghini Aventador super-car from the amazing MPH Group. Of course, they also have other options such as private jets and luxury yachts, but we’ll leave those for another time.

I have to say that the great team working at this company is able to easily get to one’s heart ‒ they are fantastic guys who love what they do so much that it can be seen without words and can be felt. And there are also two office guards ‒ Mr.Blu dog and Mickey Pomer ‒ who cheered us up with their friendliness. I think that an office of a company that has dogs in it has to have the best people working there.

Thank you for the marvellous work and the outstanding attitude! I wish you to become the best exotic car, jet and yacht rental in the USA from all my heart! I know that you can do it, as the product is not the most important thing anymore ‒ attitude and presentation is crucial! You’re the best!

Finding your passion is not just about career or money. It’s about finding your authentic self. And it’s such an amazing feeling to find your true passion. I did with my blog… And I am beyond happy that I made this decision to start the journey because I have never been so uplifted in my life as I am now. Finally my intuition is saying that I am on the right way.

From all my heart I wish you will find yours…

Sincerely,

Liga xox

A perfect place in the very heart of London to sip wine in a calm environment, enjoy the elegant atmosphere, and leaf through awesome books. This is one of my favourite spots in London – Maison Assouline (196A Piccadilly, London W1J 9EY, UK. Open 10:00–20:00, with slightly shorter working hours on Sundays). Swans Bar is also there, where you can order coffee, tea, snacks, wine or even champagne, choose any interesting book from the many bookshelves, and disappear into this other world for the whole day if you wish. I usually replenish my fashion book library, which grows larger year by year. I must admit that some of the favourite presents I love to receive are precisely these beautiful and big books, which are a fantastic and inexhaustible source of inspiration, as every time I open any of my books I always find something new.

Have a beautiful and inspiring day!

Last week I went to New York for the Christian Louboutin SS16 campaign event “Who killed Amazoula?”. I love the way Christian Louboutin are promoting their new red-soled beauties to die for! The new campaign was designed as gorgeous short movie.

The event was amazing and I met such awesome people. There is still a huge smile on my face while thinking of them. Alex, Tiffany, Eddie – thanks again for this superb time! No wonder I fell deeply in love with New York and the people there! I really enjoy the concrete jungle and the vibe of NYC, and I can’t wait to be there again!

Speaking of NYC – I’m ashamed to say – I have travelled all around the world and had never been to this magical city. Even when we lived in Miami we somehow did not manage to come here. But I am sure that everything has its reason for how and when it happens or should happen… Because I had to come live in NYC many years ago to study business management, but instead, the summer before moving to NYC, I met my husband Ugis… My visit to NYC was postponed till this day… And I am actually so much happier to come to NYC now, knowing what great support and love is awaiting me back at home.

Somehow I managed to get sick while I was there. It was quite chilly. By the forecast it should have been 19 C, but it was just 12 C and a bit windy. Since I hadn’t been there, I wanted to soak in the city as much as I could and it ended up with getting cold and spending two days in hotels room lying in bed. I had the greatest company though. I spent time with my Miami bestie Carol, who came to New York especially to meet me. We had big plans to shop around New York, to drink wine and have fun, but instead we spent all our time having pillow talks in this beyond beautiful and sexy blue room of Gramercy Park Hotel. But it was an amazing time spent together! It is not bad at all to get sick when your friend is by your side and you both are in such an amazing place.

When in New York it is definitely worth staying at Gramercy Park Hotel. It was my friend’s Tippy suggestion to stay there, and I could not be happier with this choice. The Hotel’s 21st century facelift from Oscar-nominated director and artist Julian Schnabel focused on a distinct Renaissance-revival concept incorporating the vivid colors of the era with bold hues on the walls, upholstery and carpets. The furniture is specially imported from markets around the world. The result is beyound-relaxed ambiance. Gramercy Park Hotel offers a rare opportunity to experience Museum-quality Art in an intimate environment. In its lobby, Guest Rooms, Event Spaces and Bars, guests will find masterpieces by artists from Warhol and Basquiat to Damien Hirst, Keith Haring and Richard Prince. The works change regularly ensuring guests never experience the same Hotel twice.

I love this latest trend where you can wear your silky pajamas not only at home or in your bedroom but also to a party. DOLCE&GABBANA recently hosted an amazing evening with pajamas that I loved so much.

I remember when I worked for a year in China this trend was very common. You could see it very often on the streets of Shanghai – especially in the market areas.  I made some fun about it at that time but now it has quickly made its way here, to Europe ;D

Love wearing pajamas at my perfect five star weekend gateway Dome Hotel. And don’t take your sleeping mask off when you are going to the party later on!

P.S. Remember  – every pajama will look stunning with golden or silver heels 😉

and, of course, any color Louboutins ;)))

Yours,

Liga xox
