Today is the Day of Love and I would love to thank everyone who is supporting me and my blog Marble Avenues – it really means so much to me! By supporting or simply sending out good thoughts, we can make such a big difference in the world. As we all know, positive thoughts have powerful energy and the more we practice positive thinking towards one another, the more universe will reward us with happiness and success in our own lives. This is my philosophy and I have been living by it for many years!

Support with good thoughts your friends, loved ones or even somebody you do not know and it will make you feel happy and fulfilled! In return of your love, I would love to make a giveaway in collaboration with Lancome for my followers. La vie est belle – and we should celebrate it and what could be better than a floral gourmand fragrance with a warm and delicate touch!

And remember my friends!

Love is the most powerful energy of all,

so keep on loving each other today and forever!

Yours,

Liga xox

STANDOUT STRIPES

I am not a big fan of stripes – maybe because I am not a big fan of all sailing garments. And stripes remind me of the sea and boating and captains and ships… This should be a big surprise, since my husband and I are big sailors… Hahaha, actually I am a very funky sailor who is afraid of great winds (my husband would laugh if he saw that I am confessing this to you… When I am too afraid in a big wind and waves he makes fun of me, saying that he will write a letter to all the magazines where I have given interviews about sailing and will announce that I am poor sailor…) :))) Whatever! I am!!! And I like fashion on a boat too…! :)))

Actually, when we sail I never wear stripes, maybe because I feel it is too traditional for a boat – I like a gorgeous long dress that plays in the wind better and makes me feel free and careless.

This beautiful stripy dress I chose for my post caught my eyes instantly. It does not happen often that I fall in love so quickly with some garment. But when it happens it happens… It has an awesome cut and quality, and, by the way, stripes will be one of the trends for 2016. However, this post won’t be about sailing or 2016 trends, but about how to use stripes to your advantage! As I already wrote in my previous post, HOURGLASS, we all look beautiful no matter what body shape we have! We just have to dress it the right way! The key to success is to choose the right garment for your figure. In this case stripes are your best friends, because with the help of vertical or horizontal stripes you can enhance your body’s best features and hide those you do not want to see. It can make such a big difference in your looks!

You have to remember that horizontal stripes make your body look wider and vertical stripes look slimmer. However, this does not mean that horizontal lines are bad and will make you look fat: you just need to know how to use them properly. The ideal shape we should get is the hourglass – wide shoulders, a tiny waist, and wide hips (I am not a real supporter of this formula, because I think that as long as a woman is happy and there is a sparkle in her eyes, then she is beautiful no matter what shape she has!!!). But OK, if we have started then let’s finish: the formula is easy – dress your widest place in vertical stripes and your slimmer parts in horizontal lines and get the right balance.

Your rectangle-shaped friend,

Liga ;)))

PS: Who is a poor sailor by the way…

Skirt & cropped top IORANE / bag CHANEL / bracelet CARTIER / sunglasses FENDI

I love this mix – a cropped top and a pencil skirt – it makes me feel so feminine. I feel like I finally have some hips. Actually, it gives the illusion that I have an hourglass figure – but I don’t have one. Books say that this is the ultimate goal for all of us ladies… Hmmm…

Speaking of body shapes, several years ago, to my surprise, I found out that I am simply a rectangle. To cry or to laugh? Neither! Enjoy who you are!!! Because with the right garment for your body shape you can make a huge difference in how you look!

Always highlight your best features!

Yours,

Liga xo

dress IORANE / boots CHANEL / bag CHANEL / earrings CHANEL / lipstic MAC Ariana Grande

If you follow me on Instagram, no doubt you have already noticed how much I love Chanel, but who doesn’t… OK, maybe someone. But I seriously doubt it… ;))

For those who wonder about the name of the post, I was brainstorming with my dear Miami girls, Carol and Gabriela, about the name, and somehow we came up with CC’ndrella – the modern, twisted Cinderella. She loves Chanel boots more than her Chrystal pumps… And it is totally about me – sometimes, if my look is too perfect, I love to make it more edgy and damage a little bit. Maybe it is something linked to my previous background representing my country at Miss World that I am afraid to look like a pageant queen again. So I paired this gorgeous dress with biker boots, and I felt amazing and even more elegant than if I had worn heels.

Don’t be afraid to mix and match!

Yours

L.xo

P.S.: I can’t believe we are in Miami, where it should be hot… Shooting today, but it is the coldest day Miami has had in a long time… such a nasty wind… I hope you didn’t see my goose bumps in the photo shoot ;D But always look on the bright side of life! There is an epic snowstorm in New York now… I hope they will work everything out safely!

So I’m enjoying Miami’s crazy winds… Woohooo!
