What would you get for Christmas if you had unlimited budget? Oh, all the things I could buy, if only someone would give me a platinum credit card with no spending limit… A girl can dream, can’t she?

I have to admit, though, that there is something I wish for that money can’t buy. I would like people to be more tolerant and willing to learn and accept the differences between one and another. This is something I am still trying to learn myself. After all, we’re all just human, with our own opinions and understanding of things.

Most of all I want that all the political games would stop, that there would be peace!!!

Some of you might think that I am an unrealistic dreamer. Go ahead! That’s just the way I am, and I don’t mind it. I encourage all of you to dream more, because dreams really do come true! I believe that every important thing in the world begins with a dream.

Of course, dreaming is all nice and easy, but in order to make dreams come true, we also need to have goals. And I can certainly say that we shouldn’t be afraid of having big goals that seem out of our reach, but instead work towards them step by step. It is these little steps that will get us there. The answer is in ourselves, in tolerance and love!

Therefore, I wish you all to begin with yourselves.

Good luck, and may you succeed in making your dreams come true!

Yours,

Liga xox

DARE TO WEAR

The fashion world has arrived at a point when to say that a particular trend is fashionable is no longer possible. And to speak of trousers – you can, if you wish, choose wide-leg trousers, bell bottoms, or capri, and they can be either knitted, denim, velvet or leather. Currently, practically everything is in fashion.

As a huge trouser enthusiast, who practically lives in them every day, I have a lot to choose from. So I added a small selection of my favourites for you online.

I wear trousers partly because they are more comfortable, but also because I easily get cold. I’ve heard that to be more feminine women should wear skirts and dresses more often, but I have to say, that by wearing trousers I feel no less feminine.  Of course, I also love dresses, but I believe that trousers are one of the most important items of clothing in my daily life. I tend to go for the classics, and for a long time now my favorite trousers have been a pair of slim-fit velvet jeans from 7 for all mankind. I’ve bought them over and over again and altogether this year I’ve ordered four pairs because they were worn out from my constant wearing of them. That’s how much I wear trousers.

I made some inquiries about who first dared to bring the trend of wearing trousers into society. And to my surprise, it was not a woman from Europe or Paris, as I would have thought, but rather a lady, Luisa Capitello, from Puerto Rico, who dared to wear trousers in public in 1919. I must add that for her it ended with a spell in prison. However, the trend to wear trousers had begun, and in the 1920s and 1930s in Europe, trousers were worn by women pilots and became a firm favourite of actresses.

To a warm and comfortable daily life!

Yours sincerely,

The Woman in Trousers ;))

I have always loved black-and-white photography. In my childhood, I used to spend hours looking through the neatly stacked black-and-white photographs taken by my dad and grandfather. They both loved to photograph and have passed this passion on to my brother and me. I remember sitting in the darkroom and watching my dad turn a white sheet of paper into a beautiful photograph as if by a touch of magic. The process has always seemed wondrous to me!

Now and again, I think that I would like to make my blog black and white too, but then I realise that I really like bright and saturated colours as much as black and white. I have to say, though, that to me the most important aspect of photography is harmony, so it doesn’t matter what colour the photograph is. In this respect, I can give you a piece of advice that I have learned myself: if there are too many details and colours in a photograph, make it black and white.
